Call of Duty is probably the most popular franchises in video game history. Many people enjoy playing FPS games but this one would probably be one of the best ones in history. The campaign is thrilling, multiplayer is just flat out amazing, and the new game mode “Spec Ops” makes this game a complete package. There is a reason why this is one of the top selling games in video game history.

We’ll start off with the campaign. The story happens years after the first Modern Warfare and right away you go through training, just like in the other game. You play as different soldiers that are in different armies. Like Modern Warfare 1, the gameplay of the game is just awesome. It will make your hands sweat cause of the intensity of the game. You will always want to find out what will happen in the next game. Modern Warfare 2′s campaign has some twists and turns in the story. One mission you’ll be fighting against African Americans, another mission you’ll be disguised and fight for the enemies. Towards the end of the story there will be some touching moments that will make you feel sorry for each character. At least in the end it’s a happy ending. When you’re done with the campaign it should take you about 6-8 hours (depending on the difficulty and how fast you are). Just finishing it would give you about 50-70% completion of the “Campaign Mode”, and there will be a lot of Intel to collect. So you should be satisfied with the story regardless if you like to play the campaign mode or not.

Special Ops is a new mode introduced in Modern Warfare 2 which was made for cooperative players. Each mission can be done with 2 people and it brings a lot of dept into this Call of Duty game. If you like cooperative games, this mode will keep you satisfied for awhile. There are quite a few missions and each mission can be done on different difficulties. Depending on your difficulty, you will earn certain amount of stars. Collect enough stars and you will be able to unlock the next tier of missions. If you want to play this mode online, you might have some difficulties but at least you can play this game offline.

Now onto the most famous game mode Call of Duty is known for, Multiplayer. Modern Warfare 2′s multiplayer is the best one ever. There are a big variety of game modes and each one makes this mode more unique. The feel of this game is just flat out unbelievable. Your heart will pound almost every time you play a match, especially if you’re the only person left on the team in Search and Destroy. Customization is still the same but now there are different perks and weapons. Each weapon and attachment has a different affect on the enemy and will make you want to try out most of them. You unlock weapons by leveling up but you unlock attachment by completing challenges for each weapon. For example, if you want to unlock a silencer for a Tar21, you have to get 15 kills with the gun first. Perks are still as helpful as others and death streaks give you revenge on your enemies if they kill you 3 or 4 times with you not getting any kills. Now there are titles and emblems. Titles are like banners you see on websites. Their not advertisements but they have a little phrase and a background to go with it. It is shown on your player card, and your player card shows in the lobby, when you get killed, or you kill someone. Emblems are just like avatars by your name. It displays a little picture next to your name on your player card. If you want to play with other people while having a friend at your house, there is a split screen mode where you can go up to 4 people and have a little 2 on 2. This is a good way to level up, and to practice your skills before you compete with the other people online.

Overall Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the best game you will ever find for a long time. The game is just as good, maybe even better than Modern Warfare 1, but regardless this game is a masterpiece. Everybody who likes shooter games should definitely get this game if you don’t have it. Multiplayer is still active so you still aren’t missing out on anything.
