The Assassin’s Creed series has got to be one of the most anticipated series in video game history. Assassin’s Creed 1 was fun, but became extremely repetitive. Now you’re wondering, what good does the second one bring. Well it brings a whole lot of content and offers a different experience. Keep reading to find out what makes this game so good.
Assassin’s Creed 1 was all about finding someone and assassinating them. There were 8 people to assassinate and you did it the same way you would to kill other people. After finishing 1 memory block the next one felt the same thing. This became a huge disappointment because when it didn’t feel repetitive, this game felt as if it was one of the best games in video game history. The second game for the Assassin’s Creed series really surprised a lot of people and became one of the best games.
The story of the game is about an Italian guy named Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Ezio had no idea he had an Assassin heritage until he was 17. He found out his brothers were hanged and wanted to get fighting abilities so he could defend his family. So he asked his uncle, Mario Auditore to help Ezio with his training. Ezio was nothing like Altair (Assassin’s Creed 1 protagonist). He needed some time to develop climbing, jumping, and fighting. I won’t spoil the story for you but I will say this, it is much improved compared to Assassin’s Creed 1.
Graphics are beautiful in this game. It is one of the best ever seen and it really makes you want to visit Florence, Italy. The sound of the game is crisp clear. It is a beauty to listen to sword fights and hearing the crowd talking to other people or responding to what Ezio does.
Like the first game, there is free roam where you can do certain tasks to help other civilians. Don’t worry, there is more to do than just running around viewing landscapes and killing guards.
For some people, they may think you are still assassinating certain people but in this game there are a lot more to do. You can deliver messages, collect feathers, collect treasure, etc. One this that has really changed is now there is a currency system. You can now earn money and buy items you need such as upgrading your amour, buying new weapons, or buying potions so you can mess around with other people. The replay value of this game is pretty high, the only thing that will lower it is due to how long the game is.
My only complaint is how long it takes to get 100 percent completion. It would take several months to get to full completion. So for those of you who like to finish games entirely, you could play this game for many hours a day for several months.
Overall this is a game that is definitely worth checking out, especially since it is only 20 bucks.
